Free School Meals

Your child/children can have free school meals if you receive:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit with no Working Tax Credit and have an income, as assessed by the Inland Revenue that does not exceed £16,040
  • Support under Part IV of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
  • Employment Support Allowance (Income Related) (ESA-IR)

Your child must be in school full time to receive free school meals.  Children who are in Nursery are not eligible for a free school meal.

How to apply for the first time  

You can download an application form for Free School Meals from the link below. It should be printed out and then returned by post to:
